Three Explosions Heard Over Erbil, Iraq Amid Drone Activity

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Al Mayadeen network reported that the sound of three explosions was heard in the sky over Erbil in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Reuters news agency, citing unnamed security sources, also reported that air defense systems had shot down an explosive-laden drone over Erbil. Al Mayadeen further reported the activation of air defense systems at the U.S. consulate in Erbil. Concurrently, Al Jazeera reported that air defense systems engaged three drones in the vicinity of the U.S. consulate in Erbil. News sources have not yet indicated the origin of these drone launches.
