British Embassy in Tehran Shifts to Remote Operations Amid Regional Tensions
The British Embassy in Tehran has temporarily moved its staff out of Iran due to ongoing regional risks and security assessments, though operations will continue remotely. This move follows a statement released by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) Travel Advice.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the official account of the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) Travel Advice has asserted that British staff have been temporarily withdrawn from Iran. This decision, as reported by Mehr News Agency, is attributed to an assessment of regional risks and the prevailing security situation.
Despite the departure of personnel, the embassy stressed that its operations in Tehran will not cease. Instead, activities will be conducted remotely, with staff working from outside the country.
