China Urges US to End Accusations and Sanctions Against Cuba

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the spokesperson for China‘s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged the United States to cease its accusations and lift sanctions imposed on Cuba. The remarks came in response to new U.S. measures targeting Cuban companies and individuals, which were justified by allegations of military and technical cooperation with Beijing and Moscow.
The spokesperson stated, “We call on the United States to lift these sanctions and the blockade against Cuba as soon as possible and to stop making accusations against others.” The official further asserted that the cooperation between Cuba and Beijing is entirely open and transparent. China reiterated its firm support for Cuba in defending its national sovereignty and resisting foreign interference.
The long-standing U.S. blockade against Cuba has been cited as a significant factor contributing to humanitarian crises within the island nation, leading to shortages of essential food and medicine.
