Saudi Arabia Intercepts Yemeni Houthi Missile Targeting Riyadh

Saudi air defenses have intercepted a ballistic missile launched by Yemen’s Houthi forces targeting the capital city of Riyadh. The Saudi-led coalition claims the attack was part of an increased effort by the Houthis to target civilian areas.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi air defenses successfully intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by Yemen’s Houthi forces towards Riyadh, as reported by Al Jazeera and confirmed by Turki Al-Malki, spokesperson for the Saudi-led coalition. Al-Malki also claimed that air defense systems thwarted Houthi attempts to strike civilian populations in Bisha, Taif, Farasan, and Yanbu. The spokesperson further stated that Houthi forces have intensified their efforts to target civilians and civilian infrastructure within Saudi Arabia‘s capital.
