Trump Urges Zelensky to Reduce Attacks on Russian Oil Refineries
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that during a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, he urged him to reduce attacks on Russia’s fuel and energy sector, specifically its oil refineries. Trump stated in remarks made on the sidelines of a golf event near Chicago, “I spoke with Zelensky and told him that you must reduce the intensity of attacks on Russian oil refineries. He responded, ‘Very well, perhaps we will do it.'”
In another part of the interview, Trump mentioned that the U.S. administration is seriously considering a ban on diesel exports to counter rising prices. He acknowledged that implementing such a decision might lead to a limited increase in gasoline prices; however, some officials in his administration are exploring alternative options.
These remarks come amid ongoing reciprocal attacks by Russia and Ukraine on energy infrastructure, which have raised concerns about their repercussions on fuel supply and prices in global markets.
