Brent Crude Oil Surges to $99 as Trump’s Promises Fail to Lower Prices

Brent crude futures climbed 1.6% to $99 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude also saw a 1% increase, reaching $93.44 per barrel, underscoring the ineffectiveness of President Trump’s pledges to reduce oil prices.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, oil prices have experienced a significant increase, with Brent crude futures trading at $99 per barrel, marking a 1.6% rise from the previous day’s closing price. The gains were reported by Mehr News Agency, citing Sputnik.

Simultaneously, U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures also saw an upward trend, increasing by 1% to $93.44 per barrel. This price surge occurs despite repeated assurances from United States President Donald Trump that oil prices would return to pre-conflict levels following the cessation of hostilities. However, these promises have thus far failed to curb price volatility and increases in global oil markets.

Regional developments and ongoing concerns regarding oil supply and transportation continue to be influential factors shaping price trends within the energy market.
