Saudi Arabia, US Discuss Maritime Security, Regional Stability
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, and his U.S. counterpart, Marco Rubio, held discussions focusing on the security of international shipping lanes, particularly the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandab, as well as broader regional security and political developments.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi Arabia‘s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Kingdom’s Foreign Minister, and his American counterpart, Marco Rubio, conferred on the security of maritime navigation and international waterways, with a specific focus on the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandab.
The two sides also engaged in discussions concerning regional security and political developments, as well as the situation in Yemen. Concurrently, Rubio himself stated that his meeting with the Saudi Foreign Minister included conversations on regional security and stability, encompassing issues related to Iran, Gaza, Sudan, and Yemen.
