Prominent Analyst Declares ‘Greater Iraq’ Victorious Over US Withdrawal

Prominent Arab world analyst Abdel Bari Atwan has declared ‘Greater Iraq’ victorious following the complete withdrawal of US forces, stating that the United States has been defeated and has pulled all its troops out of the country.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, prominent Arab world analyst Abdel Bari Atwan stated on social media platform X, as reported by the electronic newspaper Rai al-Youm, that “Greater Iraq” has emerged victorious and the United States has been defeated, withdrawing all its forces from the country.

Atwan further elaborated that this victory belongs to the Iraqi resistance, which began on the first day of the occupation with the participation of both Shia and Sunni individuals, supported by the armament of the Syrian government under Bashar al-Assad and with the backing of the leader of the resistance, Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah.

In another part of his message, the editor-in-chief of Rai al-Youm reflected on the past, asking what Saddam Hussein, the former Iraqi dictator, said in his five messages a few days after the occupation began. He also questioned how the Zionist regime consistently uses the same pretexts to entangle the United States in matters concerning Iran, noting this as a testament to history.

This development comes as the US Department of Defense announced on Wednesday, September 30, that it had completely withdrawn its military personnel from Iraqi territory. US President Donald Trump commented that this withdrawal should have occurred much earlier.
