School Principal and Teacher Shot in Southern France; Teen Suspect Detained

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Édouard Geffray, the French Minister of National Education, announced on Monday that the principal and one of the teachers at Lacanal Middle School in the city of Aubervilliers were the targets of a shooting.
The school principal sustained injuries to his right hip, while the teacher was wounded in the thigh, according to reports from BFM TV.
A 14-year-old student from the school has been apprehended on suspicion of involvement in the shooting. Judicial investigations have been initiated with charges of attempted murder. The mayor of Aubervilliers confirmed that no students were injured in the incident.
In a statement, the French Minister of National Education announced he was heading to the school accompanied by the Minister of the Interior and a parliamentary representative. He described the incident as unacceptable and called for a collective response to the growing prevalence of violence within French society.
Local reports suggest that the shooting is unrelated to recent student protests in France, and the school had not been affected by any protest-related blockades.
