Israeli Media Warns of Donald Trump Political Setbacks and Congressional Shifts

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli media outlets have reacted with shared concern to the setbacks experienced by Republicans in the United States congressional elections, viewing the outcome as a major political challenge for President Donald Trump.
In this context, the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation described the election results as a severe blow to Donald Trump, reporting that the Democratic Party successfully secured a majority of seats in the House of Representatives and advanced closely toward capturing a majority in the Senate as well.
Assessing these developments, a correspondent for the Hebrew-language network i24NEWS remarked that the political shift is no longer just a wave, but a veritable tsunami. Furthermore, Hebrew-language media sources reported that at least six political figures critical of the Israeli regime have managed to secure seats in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Channel 12 of the Israeli regime also emphasized that Democratic control over the Senate would empower the opposition to obstruct Donald Trump’s appointments and restrict his administration’s budgetary authority. Observers note that such limitations could potentially impact the funding required for sustained regional confrontations, including tensions involving Iran.
The Hebrew daily newspaper Maariv similarly characterized the election results as a heavy blow to Donald Trump, noting that Democrats managed to capture numerous Republican seats even within the party’s traditional strongholds. According to reports, the Democratic Party successfully flipped seats in states such as Texas, Ohio, and North and South Carolina, while achieving a historic milestone in Georgia.
The newspaper added that while Donald Trump acknowledged the election outcomes, he claimed that the results would have been decisively different and in his favor had he personally appeared on the ballot.
