report Mehr News Agency, according to Times of India, following the discovery of the body of Anwar Al-Azeem, a member of the Parliament of Bangladesh in Calcutta, India, a joint investigation has been started.
According to the Indian media, the parliament member of Bangladesh had traveled to India for treatment on May 12 (May 23). His body was found under mysterious circumstances in an apartment in a luxurious residential complex in “New Town” located on the outskirts of Kolkata.
Anwar Azim, who is a member of Bangladesh’s ruling Awami League party, was missing for the past eight days. Bangladesh Interior Minister Asdulzaman Khan called Azim’s death a “planned murder” and said that the country’s police have arrested three people in connection with the incident.
According to reports, one of the victim’s friends in Kolkata said that he had only talked about traveling to Delhi but had not heard from him since May 13.
