According to the Associated Press, Iran’s total stockpile of enriched uranium is 6201.3 kilograms, which represents an increase of 675.8 kilograms since the publication of the previous report of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

In the IAEA’s current report, the UN body also claims that Tehran has not reconsidered the IAEA’s September 2023 decision to prevent inspectors from monitoring its nuclear program, but added that Iran is expected to do so as part of ongoing consultations with the IAEA. .

The International Atomic Energy Agency also believes that the death of Iran’s president and foreign minister in a helicopter accident has led to a break in the agency’s negotiations with Tehran to improve cooperation. 

In its current report, the agency also stated that in a letter dated May 21, Iran suggested that the talks on cooperation between the two sides continue in Tehran on a suitable date that is mutually agreed upon.
