All Russian peacekeeping forces left Karabakh
reported by Mehr News Agency quoted by “Westink”, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan issued a statement on Wednesday and announced: The process of withdrawal of the Russian peacekeeping forces from Karabakh has been completed.
In the statement issued by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, it is stated: On June 12, the withdrawal process of the Russian peacekeeping forces, which were temporarily stationed in Baku after the war, ended.
The said statement further adds: The personnel, weapons and equipment of the peacekeeping forces have completely left the area.
According to Anatoly, in April of this year, Russia announced that it has started the process of complete withdrawal of Russian peacekeeping forces from Karabakh. Russian peacekeeping forces were deployed after the fall of 2020 clashes between Yerevan and Baku, during which the Republic of Azerbaijan took back most of its lands in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Last September, the Republic of Azerbaijan took over the full sovereignty of Karabakh following an operation.
