UNICEF: The children of the Gaza Strip need an immediate ceasefire
Nearly 9 months of war in Gaza has left nothing but destruction and the killing of tens of thousands of civilians. With the aim of completing the genocide process in this area, the Zionist regime prevents humanitarian items from entering Gaza, which aggravates the humanitarian crisis in this region.
According to Al Jazeera, the United Nations Children’s Fund called UNICEF expressed concern about the conditions of Palestinian children.
This fund posted a video of a 10-year-old Palestinian child named Sham on its personal page on the X social network (former Twitter), and wrote: Sham is one of thousands of Palestinian children who suffer from malnutrition. These children in Gaza witness the lack of adequate food and medical services.
This message continues: Sham suffers from severe malnutrition and does not have access to the necessary medical services to treat his illness.
Referring to the critical conditions of children in Gaza and considering the continuation of the war in this area, UNICEF adds: the lack of food, water and medical items makes the critical conditions of Palestinians even more catastrophic. No child should have to witness such problems. The children of Gaza now need an immediate ceasefire to end the conflict.
Statistics show that nearly two-thirds of civilian casualties in Gaza are women and children. This is while children and pregnant women do not have access to appropriate medical services due to the bombing of hospitals and medical centers, as well as preventing the entry of humanitarian items such as medicine into Gaza. This issue itself causes more acute problems.
