According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted Sputnik, more than 100 people died during a religious ceremony in northern India.

The Hindustan Times newspaper reported on Tuesday, quoting the country’s police, that at least 107 people died as a result of a stampede at a religious ceremony in the city of Hatteras in the state. They were killed in “Uttar Pradesh” in North India.

Local media reports indicate that the stampede occurred after a preacher finished his speech and everyone was leaving the venue.

Uttar Pradesh Police has announced that it is believed that suffocation at the venue of this ceremony caused the death of these people. The weather during this event is reported to be hot and humid.

One ​​of the eyewitnesses of this incident stated that a huge crowd had gathered in one place and there was no exit and everyone fell on each other. According to this person, many people fainted as a result of the crowding and heat, and others died.
