Le Pen made these statements on the eve of the second phase of the French parliamentary elections, which will be held tomorrow. He says that the final decision about the possible deployment of troops from France to Ukraine is the responsibility of the Prime Minister and the position of French President Emmanuel Macron on such issues is really irrelevant. In the last few months, Macron has repeatedly raised this issue and has increasingly used hostile literature against the war in Ukraine.
The leader of the far-right party of France said: Emmanuel Macron wants to send troops to Ukraine and the prime minister is against it. Therefore, sending troops to Ukraine is ruled out. The prime minister has the final word on this matter.
He also said that his party will prohibit Kiev from using French weapons to attack positions and targets located on Russian soil because, according to him, such a permission from Paris turns it into “involved in war”.
