NATO’s new command and financial commitments to support Ukraine

The NATO alliance plans to expand its support programs for Ukraine in the fight against Russia.

report Mehr News Agency, according to Reuters, the NATO Secretary General announced the alliance’s agreement with a five-point plan to support Ukraine.

Jens Stoltenberg announced on Monday that according to this plan, international support to Ukraine will change its nature in the form of a unified command.

According to the announcement of the NATO Secretary General, this command of international support to Ukraine – which is currently managed by a coalition called the Defense Contact Group of Ukraine – will take over. Overseeing training and supplies for military support to Ukraine will be one of the other duties of the new command.

In its new plan, NATO will define commitments to maintain the current level of support for Ukraine by its members for at least another year. Other parts of this agreement are supposed to be approved by the members at the upcoming summit of NATO leaders on July 19-21 in Washington.
