Sobhani: The punishment for the crimes in Gaza will reach the west

According to the foreign policy group Tasnim news agency, Mehdi Sobhani, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Yerevan, during a speech at the round table on the double standards of the West in the Middle East, which was held by the “Alternative” studies institute, with the participation of the ambassadors of China, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Syria and Russia, and a group of Armenian officials and analysts. By presenting the statistics of the Zionist regime’s crimes in Gaza, he emphasized: If someone can remain silent about the disastrous conditions and genocide in Gaza, he knows nothing about humanity.

He added: What is the justification for bombing schools, hospitals, camps of innocents and ordinary people? They want to defeat Hamas, but they are only defeating themselves.

He continued: The number of children who have been killed in Gaza in a few weeks is more than the number of children who have been killed. There has been war and bloodshed in Afghanistan and Iraq for several years. So many mothers who hugged their dead children and fathers who desperately looked for their family members in the rubble. It is Palestine. Gaza is the essence of Palestine and the clear expression of the suffering and pain of the people who have been oppressed and oppressed by Zionism for 75 years. Gaza is part of a whole. Today, Palestine is the benchmark of human dignity. What is being done by Israel in Gaza today is a clear example of war crimes and crimes against humanity. The Israeli regime and the fundamentalist insistence on it shows the height of moral degeneration and dementia, he said: Gaza showed that the intellectual pluralism claimed by the West and liberal democracy based on modernity has not only not brought peace to the world, but has also been the cause of historical atrocities. . He added: The culture and civilization of the West is the same civilization that when more than six thousand children are martyred with phosphorus bombs, they say that Israel is defending itself. Is killing children self-defense? These events have their own meaning and in the transitional period of international relations, they will have long-term consequences for Western civilization. And it will take them inside.

At the end of his speech, the ambassador of our country listed five principles as the fundamental position of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the developments in Gaza, which are: 1- The war in Gaza and the crimes and genocide must stop. 2- The crossings should be opened and Gaza should be removed from the siege. 3- The policy of displacing the people of Gaza is doomed and bound to fail and must be countered. 4- War criminals in Gaza should be prosecuted. 5- A special and specialized committee should be established to deal with Israel’s war crimes.
