The foreign ministers of the Group of 7 condemned the settlement constructions of the Zionist regime

The foreign ministers of the G7 countries condemned the Zionist regime's move to expand its settlements in the West Bank.

The foreign ministers of the Group of Seven (G7) countries have condemned the Zionist regime’s move to expand its settlements in the West Bank and said that this move is counterproductive “for peace”.

The Zionist regime announced last month that it plans to legalize five more settlements in the West Bank, create three new settlements and seize large swathes of land where the Palestinians seek to establish an independent state.

The Group of 7, which includes America, England, Canada, Japan, France, Germany and Italy, condemned this action and asked the Zionist regime to cancel its decision.

According to Reuters, the foreign ministers of the Group of 7 announced in a statement at the Rome meeting: “We emphasize our commitment to lasting peace based on a two-state solution.”

The foreign ministers of the Group of 7 also asked Tel Aviv to return all remaining tax revenues to the Palestinian Authority and said that maintaining economic stability in the West Bank is vital for the security of the region.

The US also imposed new sanctions on Thursday against Zionist extremists for violence against Palestinians, including financial restrictions on four settlement bases in the West Bank.

The US State Department also blacklisted Lehava as the “largest violent extremist organization in Israel” with more than 10,000 members.

US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said: “We strongly encourage the Israeli government to take immediate action to hold these individuals and institutions accountable. In the absence of any action, we will continue to apply our accountability measures.”

While supporting the Zionist regime’s war in Gaza, America has repeatedly warned Netanyahu about the escalation of tensions in the West Bank.
