Considering withdrawing from “Philadelphia” despite Netanyahu’s objections
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, citing Al-Mayadeen network, the Hebrew newspaper “Times of Israel” wrote that despite the denial of the Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s office regarding the investigation of the withdrawal of the Zionist forces from the Philadelphia axis during Negotiations on the agreement with Hamas, the sources participating in these negotiations announced that the mentioned issue will be examined as part of a possible ceasefire agreement.
These sources added that the withdrawal from the Philadelphia Axis will be part of Egypt’s efforts to strengthen the borders with the aim of preventing the transfer of weapons from this region. With the retreat of the Zionist forces from this axis, an underground barrier is supposed to be built to prevent the transfer of weapons.
A number of other Zionist officials also announced that the issue of withdrawing from the Philadelphia axis was raised in the agreement negotiations with Hamas.
In the meantime, Zionist sources had previously announced that Netanyahu’s new objections would make it more difficult to reach an agreement. His request for the Palestinian armed forces not to return to the north of the Gaza Strip can destroy the efforts to sign the agreement. He has also opposed withdrawing from the Philadelphia axis.
