Trump participates in the FBI interview regarding the suicide attempt

The former US president will be interviewed by the FBI as part of the investigation into the assassination attempt.

Former US President Donald Trump was interviewed by the FBI as part of an investigation into the July 13 assassination attempt, an official said Monday. It is “special for terror victims”, he will be present.

As reported by ABC News on Tuesday morning, Kevin Rozek, head of the FBI office in Pittsburgh, said in a press conference that interviewing the victims is part of the criminal investigation, which he said is voluntary.

Rozek explained that interviewing Trump is like interviewing any other victim, adding that the FBI wants to get Trump’s perspective and observations.

He added: This is a standard interview with the victims, like what we do for any other crime victim.

Last week, the statements of Christopher Wray, the head of the FBI, about the injury of the former president of the United States became controversial. During his remarks at the House of Representatives’ Judiciary Committee meeting, he said: “It is not yet clear whether the bullet hit Trump’s ear or the object that injured his ear was a shrapnel.”

The FBI announced on Friday that Trump was shot during the assassination attempt.

A 20-year-old armed man shot at Trump on July 13, 2024, equivalent to July 23, 1403, during an election rally in Pennsylvania. In this incident, Trump was injured and the assailant and one of the rally participants were killed. Also, two other people present in this gathering were injured.
