The new Prime Minister of Thailand was announced/Parliament is voting

The Thai parliament will vote on the candidate nominated by the ruling party for prime minister this Friday.

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, two days after the dismissal of the Prime Minister of Thailand, the ruling party of this country introduced 37-year-old Paungtern Shinawatra to the parliament as the new Prime Minister of this country.

Parliament of Thailand will vote on Paungtern’s prime minister this Friday.

If the parliament votes positively, Paungtern will be the third member of the Shinawatra family to be elected as the Prime Minister of Thailand; His father was the Prime Minister of Thailand from 2001 to 2006 and his aunt from 2011 to 2014.

Thailand’s Constitutional Court dismissed Thai Prime Minister Serta Thawisin on Thursday, pointing out that the nomination and appointment of a candidate with a criminal record to join the country’s cabinet is a violation of the constitution.

The judges of this court issued the verdict of Tavisin’s dismissal with five votes in favor and four votes against. This ruling is effective from today (Wednesday, August 24). This incident will further disturb the political atmosphere of Thailand, which was shaken a week ago by the dissolution of the main opposition party.

Serta appointed Choenban Pichit as “Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office” during a cabinet reshuffle in April. According to the Thai constitution, cabinet ministers must be “correct” and their behavior should be in accordance with moral norms.

Pichit was sentenced to six years in prison in 2008 on charges of contempt of court after offering a $55,000 bribe to a judge in a case involving former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.

According to the order of the Constitutional Court of Thailand, until the approval and appointment of a new prime minister by the parliament, the cabinet of this country will continue to work temporarily.
