Details of the proposed 40-day temporary ceasefire in Gaza by the US

The US Secretary of State plans to present a new proposal regarding the ceasefire in Gaza during his visit to the Egyptian capital today.

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed, today Tuesday, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken traveled from Tel Aviv to Cairo to continue negotiations to stop the conflict in Gaza.

Blinken’s goal is to reduce the differences between the Zionist regime and Hamas regarding the proposed cease-fire, which is supported by the United States.

The information obtained shows that the new American proposal for Gaza includes a phase of ceasefire for 40 days, and the Americans hope that this temporary ceasefire will turn into a permanent cessation of war. be.

During the trip, Blinken is scheduled to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and his foreign minister, Badr Abdel Ati, to broker a “temporary ceasefire” in Gaza. After that, there will be an exchange of prisoners between the Palestinian resistance and the Zionist regime.

The current negotiations, which started in Doha, Qatar and are now continuing in Cairo, are leading to a new agreement on Gaza, which is focused on one phase and It lasts for 40 days. However, there are no conditions or texts that guarantee that the next steps will be implemented or that Israel will not continue its attacks after this period!

It seems that the main goal of the US in these negotiations is to achieve a temporary ceasefire, not a final agreement to stop the war. But the hope is that after the 40-day cessation of hostilities, it will be harder to return to the conflict and conditions will be provided for the implementation of other demands of the resistance, including reconstruction and humanitarian aid.

During the negotiations, the Zionist regime has agreed to carry out reconstruction and construction of destroyed houses and infrastructure in Rafah and southern Gaza, but only in northern Gaza. It has agreed to build prefabricated houses. This has raised concerns about the regime’s future plans to evacuate residents from northern Gaza.

Hamas also pointed out that Netanyahu is against a permanent ceasefire, a complete withdrawal from Gaza, and the conditions related to the exchange of prisoners, and he also proposed some of his new conditions. It prevents the fulfillment of the exchange agreement.
