Turkish police arrested the financial director of “Mossad”.
According to the Mehr news agency, the website of the Turkish “Daily Sabah” newspaper, quoting Turkish security sources, announced that the Istanbul police arrested “Lyrodon Rexepi”, the director of the Mossad financial network in Turkey.
According to Daily Sabah sources, Rexepi is a citizen of Kosovo and was in charge of transferring money to Mossad field agents in Türkiye; Agents whose duty was drone imaging of Mossad targets in Turkey and leading psychological operations against Palestinian leaders and gathering information from Syria.
Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT) tracked down the director of Mossad’s financial network after discovering irregularities in his financial accounts, which showed that he was transferring huge sums of money to Mossad agents through Western Union.
As reported by Daily Sabah, Lirodon Rexepi was placed under MIT surveillance upon his arrival in Turkey on August 25, 2024, and was arrested in Istanbul on August 30 (September 9) in a joint operation with the Istanbul Police.
Earlier, the Turkish police arrested a number of Mossad agents in this country, but Rexepi is the first known Mossad agent to be arrested in Turkey this year due to the intensification of operations against Mossad members.
