Velayati: Doctors’ trip to Iraq is effective for regional peace and stability

The adviser of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran assessed the visit of our country's president to Iraq as very important and influential for regional peace and stability and strengthening bilateral relations.

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati, advisor to the supreme leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran on international issues, in an interview with Al-Mayadeen news site, discussed the visit of the President of our country, Dr. Masoud Mezikian, and said that Iraq is one of the It is a country that has a high place in our policies.

He continued that Iran and Iraq are the main pillars of the front of resistance and confrontation with Israel and arrogant and autocratic powers, and they are in confrontation with America.

Walati, referring to the provisions of the security agreement between the United States and Iraq, stated that just as the Iranian people expelled the United States from their land, the Iraqis will do the same.

This former Iranian diplomat discussed the visit of our country’s president to Iraq as his first foreign trip and emphasized that this trip is of special importance for both sides in the framework of strengthening relations. It is strategic.

He continued that this trip has very important effects on the political future of Iran-Iraq relations as well as regional peace and stability.

Velaiti expressed that Iran and Iraq never gave up despite the problems that the enemies put in their way and will continue this process with strength and determination.

He noted that Iran and Iraq have deep and strong historical and cultural roots and their positions will not change in the face of the enemy’s threats and greed.
