The West sacrifices nuclear safety for political interests

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted by Tass, “Alexey Likhachev”, Director General of Rosatom Company, warned that Ukraine’s actions endanger the safety of nuclear facilities.

On Monday, on the sidelines of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the General Director of Rosatom Company emphasized that Western countries consider Ukraine’s threats against nuclear facilities to be of little importance.

Likhachev said: Unfortunately, the West downplays these threats and ignores the principles of nuclear safety in favor of short-term political interests.

This Russian official called such a situation regarding nuclear facilities unacceptable and said: the safety of nuclear facilities is Russia’s priority.

The director general of Rosatom said that the reckless actions of the Ukrainian authorities have become the main threat to the safety of the Zaporizhzhya and Kursk nuclear power plants.
