Iraqi Prime Minister’s visit to Kurdistan Region

Iraqi media reported on the visit of Prime Minister Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani to the Kurdistan Region to consult with the local authorities of the region in Erbil and Sulaymaniyah.

According to the report of this Iraqi news site, “Mohammed Shia al-Sudani” arrived at Erbil International Airport this morning and was welcomed by Kurdistan Regional Prime Minister Masrour Barzani.

Local sources reported that the Prime Minister of Iraq will also travel to Sulaimaniyah in addition to Erbil, and he is going to meet with the local authorities of the Kurdistan Region about many cases, including sustainable solutions to resolve the differences and problems between Erbil. and Baghdad to discuss and exchange opinions within the framework of the constitution.

According to these sources, Al-Sudani was in Erbil with Massoud Barzani, the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani, the head of the Kurdistan Region, and Masrour Barzani, the prime minister of this region, and in Sulaymaniyah with Bafel Talabani, the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan. Iraq and Kurdistan Regional Deputy Prime Minister Qabad Talabani will meet and discuss ways to strengthen political and economic cooperation between the parties.

These sources added that during this trip, while congratulating the Kurdistan Regional Government on the successful holding of parliamentary elections, Sudanese will ask them to speed up the process of forming a new local government.
