, John Achakzai, Minister of Information of Balochistan province of Pakistan, in response to the Taliban government’s decision to build a dam on the river, considered it a hostile act against Pakistan.
He wrote in “X” that the Taliban is negotiating with an Indian company to build this dam and its construction will have a significant impact on the water flow of the Indus River.
Achakzai further warned: If the Afghan Taliban continues the work of this dam without including Pakistan, it will have severe consequences in the escalation of tensions and possible conflicts.
Last week, “Abdul Taif Mansour”, the Minister of Water and Energy of the Taliban government, announced that the process of technical review of the water management of the Kunar river basin has been completed and in the future Soon the contract for its construction will be signed with a Turkish company.
