Egypt’s foreign minister: Israel uses hunger and siege as weapons
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted by Al Jazeera, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati said: “The international community must take action to stop human suffering in Gaza.”
He added: Israel uses hunger and blockade as two weapons against the Palestinians, which is in clear violation of international law.
Egyptian Foreign Minister stated: Israel has targeted two thousand UNRWA affiliated centers in Gaza and the attack on UNRWA continues with the aim of destroying it.
Abd al-Aati said: UNRWA cannot be needed and it has no alternative to operate in Gaza. We emphasize the necessity of Israel’s withdrawal from the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing and the Philadelphia region.
He added: The international community should provide the conditions for humanitarian aid to enter Gaza and move towards the reconstruction of Gaza. We demand an end to Israeli attacks in the West Bank and an end to the policy of displacing Palestinians from Tel Aviv.
Egyptian foreign minister also spoke about Egypt’s efforts with Qatar and other countries to reach a ceasefire in Gaza.
