Al-Sudani: Maher Asad has not entered Iraq
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, quoted by Al-Nashrah, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani took a position on Syria.
He announced that weapons and armed groups will not be allowed to enter Iraq from Syria.
He considered the conflict between the SDF and Türkiye to be a real danger.
The Prime Minister of Iraq said: ISIS has seized a large amount of weapons of the Syrian army. The Iraqi government and political groups are unanimous on not interfering in Syria.
They also announced that the former Syrian regime did not request military intervention from Iraq.
The Prime Minister of Iraq said about the entry of Maher Assad, Bashar Assad’s brother to Iraq, that this person did not enter Iraq after the fall of the government.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of this country emphasized: Any disturbance in Syrian prisons forces us to confront terrorism. Iraq is interested in coordinating with Syria to control common borders.
