Flights between Ashgabat and Moscow were suspended for one month
report Mehr News Agency quoted Trend, following the crash of the passenger plane of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan Airlines announced the cancellation of flights between Ashgabat and Moscow for a month.
According to the announcement of these airlines, regular flights between Ashgabat and Moscow have been canceled from December 30, 2024 to January 31, 2025. Earlier, Azerbaijan Airlines also canceled its flights to 10 destinations in Russia.
Embraer 190 passenger plane belonging to Azerbaijan Airlines crashed on December 25 on the way from Baku to Grozny, near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. At the time of the accident, this plane had 67 passengers, including 62 passengers, most of whom were Azerbaijani citizens, and among them there were citizens of Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, as well as five crew members.
According to the latest reports, 38 people, including seven Russian citizens, were killed in this accident and 29 people were rescued.
