A prominent ISIS leader was arrested while returning from Türkiye to Iraq

report Mehr News Agency, citing Al-Maluma, a security source in Iraq’s Anbar province announced that one of the prominent leaders of ISIS was returning from Turkey to the city of Fallujah when he was arrested by the security forces.

He further added: Iraqi security forces ambushed the movement of this ISIS leader. Iraqi forces followed the movement of this ISIS from Türkiye to the city of Fallujah and arrested him without any resistance.

This source added: The mentioned element had been hiding in Turkey for several years and recently returned to Fallujah to work in ISIS underground groups.

According to this report, the arrested ISIS leader was involved in several terrorist operations against the Iraqi security forces during the past years.
