Baku: We are waiting for the outcome of the trial of the perpetrator of the attack on our embassy in Iran

According to the report of Fars News Agency International Group, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jihun Bayramov, stated today (Thursday) that he is waiting for the results of the trial of the perpetrator of the attack on the embassy in February last year. The Republic of Azerbaijan are in Iran.
Trend news agency reported that Bayramov announced the conversation with Iran about this attack during a news conference and said The person who committed this attack should be severely punished and the security of their embassy should be ensured.
In this context, he stated: “We were informed of the trial’s start date and we will make appropriate decisions based on its results.”
The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly announced the consensus between the two countries of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan to reopen the embassy of Baku in Tehran. He stated on Monday of this week: “A roadmap for the reopening of the Azerbaijani embassy has been developed and the efforts are progressing well”.
An armed person entered the embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan using a firearm for family reasons, and the head of the embassy’s security team was killed and two others were injured, after which the armed agent was arrested by the Iranian security forces.
