Shooting at North Carolina University Leaves at Least One Dead and Several Injured
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Anadolu Agency, a shooting on the campus of Elizabeth City State University in southeastern North Carolina resulted in at least one fatality.
The university stated that the shooting occurred after the conclusion of a week-long “Viking Fest” celebration in the center of campus. The institution is among historically black public universities that exclusively enrolled African American students prior to the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.The statement confirmed that a 24-year-old individual, unaffiliated with the university, was killed during the incident.
Additionally, four people—including three students—were injured, while two others sustained injuries in the ensuing crowd surge. None of those wounded suffered life-threatening injuries, and all were transported to medical facilities for treatment.
