Senior Hamas Official Warns Gaza Has Entered Full-Scale Famine, Over One Million Children Starving
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Palestinian Details Center, Abdul Rahman Shadid, a Hamas leader, warned that the Gaza Strip has officially entered a phase of complete famine and severe malnutrition.
He emphasized that the Zionist occupation regime is systematically using starvation as a “methodical weapon of war” to subjugate the Palestinian people.
Citing field reports, Shadid stated: Over one million children in Gaza are suffering from hunger. This is an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, yet the international community merely issues condemnation statements.
He added: Today, our children are not only being killed by bombs and bullets—they are also dying due to lack of infant formula and food.
The senior Hamas official stressed that by continuing its attacks on Gaza, the Zionist regime is effectively violating ceasefire agreements and revealing its true nature once again.
shadid noted that gaza’s resistance remains steadfast against the enemy’s war machine, waging an epic battle. He highlighted the occupation regime’s military deadlock in Gaza, stating: The resistance has turned the battlefield into a war of attrition where the enemy is confused and incapable of achieving any progress.
Referring to Israeli forces demolishing Palestinian homes in Jerusalem and the West Bank while displacing residents,Shadid underscored that alongside its ongoing war in Gaza,Israel has intensified attacks in these areas. He also warned against Zionist efforts to Judaize Al-Aqsa Mosque—part of their broader policy to erase Jerusalem’s Islamic and Arab identity—and urged Muslims and Arab nations not to remain silent but act to protect holy sites.
Shadid condemned escalating human rights violations in hebron (Al-Khalil) at ibrahimi Mosque (Cave of Patriarchs), noting how resistance across Palestine has grown stronger despite Israeli aggression. He revealed Hamas’s persistent diplomatic efforts with international actors to open crossings end lift Gaza’s siege—a move critical for survival amid what he called an organized genocide through starvation.
