Turkey will not allow Netanyahus plane to pass
The Turkish Presidency announced that Ankara will not allow the plane of Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, to pass through Turkish airspace for his trip to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to a report by the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, the office of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkey’s president, stated on Saturday that the country will not open it’s airspace to the plane carrying Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, for his visit to Azerbaijan.
The report indicates that Turkey has closed its airspace to aircraft from the Zionist regime and does not intend to make an exception for Netanyahu’s plane.
The office of the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime had announced that Netanyahu is scheduled to visit Azerbaijan from May 7–11.
Some media outlets and social networks had claimed that Turkey would permit Netanyahu’s plane passage at Baku’s request. However, Öncü Keçeli, spokesperson for turkey’s Foreign Ministry, denied these claims and stated that Ankara had received no such request from Baku.
In November 2024, Turkey also refused entry into its airspace for a plane carrying Isaac Herzog, President of the Zionist regime, who was traveling to Baku to attend a climate conference.
