Collision of Two Vehicles on South African Road Leaves at Least 15 Dead
according to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and AFP, at least 15 people were killed after a minibus collided with a pickup truck south of Johannesburg, South Africa.
Authorities stated that the accident occurred on a road approximately 1,000 kilometers south of Johannesburg.
In the incident, 13 minibus passengers, along with the drivers of both vehicles, lost their lives.
Last year,over 11,800 people died in road accidents across South Africa. Pedestrians accounted for roughly 45% of this figure. The country has a high rate of traffic-related fatalities due to its complex and congested road network. Speeding, reckless driving, and poorly maintained vehicles are among the leading causes of such incidents.
