Ukrainian President Says: I Will Meet with Putin in Turkey on Thursday
According to the English section of “webangah News Agency” citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced today, Sunday, that he expects a complete and long-term ceasefire to begin tomorrow (marking the start of a proposed 30-day truce between Kyiv and Moscow) to create conditions for diplomacy.
The Ukrainian president added: “I look forward to meeting Vladimir Putin in Turkey on Thursday.”
Earlier, Donald Trump had urged Ukraine to accept the Russian president’s proposal for negotiations in Istanbul.
This comes as Russia previously stated that it had offered Ukraine a three-day ceasefire in observance of Victory Day celebrations in the country; however, Ukraine has repeatedly violated it.
