U.S.-Saudi Economic Meeting Begins Ahead of Donald Trump’s Arrival in Riyadh
According to the English section of “webangah News Agency” citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Mayadeen, the economic meeting between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia commenced in Riyadh shortly before the arrival of U.S. President Donald Trump in the country.Trump is scheduled to arrive in Riyadh on Tuesday for a two-day visit to attend this meeting. Qatar and the UAE are his next two destinations afterward.
The economic summit includes prominent officials from American companies and Saudi ministers. During his trip, Trump is expected to discuss with Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, a proposed $600 billion investment by Riyadh in Washington over the next four years.
Trump had previously expressed hope that this figure could reach $1 trillion. However,meaningful doubts remain about achieving this goal amid declining oil prices.
