Trump clarified the fate of Qatar’s donated plane
According to the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and The Guardian, Donald Trump, the U.S. President, announced that during his presidency, the country will temporarily use a luxurious aircraft donated by Qatar as the presidential plane.
Trump wrote on his social media platform “Truth Social”: “This (aircraft) will temporarily serve as Air Force One in our management until our new Boeings arrive—though their delivery has been substantially delayed.”
He added: “The boeing 747 is being gifted to the U.S.Air Force/Department of Defense, not to me! It’s a gesture from Qatar, a country we’ve successfully defended for years. This plane will serve as a temporary Air Force One in our administration. Why should our military—and by extension, our people—pay hundreds of millions when they can receive this from a nation willing to give it freely for jobs well done? These massive savings will instead be spent restoring America’s greatness! Only a fool would refuse such a gift on behalf of our country!”
Trump had previously stated that America must have the most notable aircraft. He criticized the current Air Force One, calling it “far smaller and less majestic” compared to other world leaders’ planes.
