Trump claims he prevented nuclear war between Pakistan and India

U.S. President claims he prevented a nuclear war between Pakistan and India!

according to the ‌English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News‍ Agency and Financial Times, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed in an interview with Fox news that he convinced India and Pakistan to agree to peace and prevented an imminent nuclear war.

Trump stated: “I think we convinced them (India and Pakistan) to say, ‘Let’s make peace and sign trade deals.’ If we can do trade, it’s much, much better than exchanging nuclear fire.”

The U.S.⁤ President asserted: “I don’t think we’ve ever been at a point where—between two countries that‌ have very good leaders who I know very well—there was a potential for a nuclear war. We intervened in ‍a very crucial process with India and ⁢Pakistan.”

Raveesh Kumar, spokesperson for‌ India’s Ministry of‌ External Affairs, said yesterday that no trade⁣ discussions took place between the U.S. and India. He added that talks between Indian and U.S. ‌leaders revolved around military developments following the start of‌ Operation “Sindoor” against Pakistan, with no mention of trade.

On Monday, Trump also‍ claimed his administration played a ‌vital role in mediating a⁣ ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan.

“We stopped a ‍nuclear war,” he said. “I think ‌it would have been a ‌very devastating⁢ one—millions would ⁢have‌ died.” He added: “I also want to⁣ thank JD Vance (his deputy) and Marco Rubio (U.S.‍ Secretary of State) for⁢ their efforts.” His administration helped broker Saturday’s ceasefire⁤ to halt hostilities—one which he believes coudl be permanent between two nations possessing vast nuclear arsenals.
