According to the English section of Webangah news Agency, citing mehr News Agency, White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt unveiled Donald Trump‘s demands from Mohammed al-Julani, Syria’s self-proclaimed leader, during their meeting today in Riyadh via a post on social media platform X.
Levitt wrote that Trump met with Julani at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and added that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also joined them via video conference.
She noted that erdoğan thanked Trump for lifting sanctions against Syria and pledged commitment to what was described as cooperation with saudi Arabia to expand peace and prosperity in Syria. The Saudi Crown Prince also praised Trump for his decision to lift Syrian sanctions, calling it a “courageous” move.Trump, expressing gratitude to Erdoğan and bin Salman, addressed al-Julani by saying he had “a great opportunity to make history in Syria.”
Levitt stated that Trump urged Julani to take the following actions:
- Ascension into the Abraham Accords with Israel
- Surgically removing all foreign terrorists from Syrian territory
- The expulsion of Palestinian terrorists (!)
- Aiding U.S efforts toward preventing ISIS resurgence
- “Assuming responsibility for prisons housing ISIS militants across northeastern regions.”
