Has the Emirati delegation left the Baghdad meeting
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, following reports of the Emirati delegation’s withdrawal from the Baghdad summit due to disagreements with Sudan, Hossam Zaki, Deputy Secretary-General of the Arab League, responded by stating that no country has left the Baghdad meeting.
He added: The UAE is participating at a high level in the current summit.
Regarding tensions between Sudan and the UAE, Zaki said: “This is a complex issue requiring wisdom from senior politicians and diplomats. Resolving it will take time and won’t be fully addressed in this meeting. we hope solutions will be reached soon.”
On participation levels, he emphasized: “The level of attendees is each country’s sovereign decision.We cannot question why a nation didn’t join at a higher tier.”
The crisis between Sudan and the UAE has recently escalated, with Sudan severing diplomatic ties with the Emirates.
