US Navy aircraft carrier Truman en route back to America says Pentagon official
A U.S. Defense Department official announced that the aircraft carrier USS Truman is returning to the United States.
According to webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Mayadeen network, the unnamed American official told Buisness Insider that the USS Truman, which had been stationed in the region for some time, is currently in the Mediterranean Sea and en route to its homeport in Virginia.
No further details have been released about the carrier’s mission or its estimated return timeline. Its presence in the Mediterranean follows a previous deployment in the Red Sea, where it withdrew due to missile and drone attacks by Yemeni armed forces.
