UAE President’s Advisor Says Sudan Crisis Requires Political Solution
According to webangah News Agency, Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President, has commented on Sudan’s escalating conflict following U.S. sanctions against the Sudanese army for alleged chemical weapons use against civilians.
Gargash stated: “The U.S. sanctions reveal undeniable truths about the Sudanese military’s responsibility for these crimes,eliminating previous doubts.” He emphasized via an X (formerly Twitter) post that “Sudan’s only viable solution is an immediate ceasefire followed by a political transition leading to an independent civilian goverment.”
The remarks come as international media and organizations continue accusing the UAE of supporting sudan’s Rapid Support Forces in the ongoing conflict.
