Trump Again Claims Iran Is Enriching Uranium
According to webangah News Agency, former U.S. President Donald Trump stated on X (formerly Twitter) that any potential deal with Tehran woudl grant “no permission whatsoever for uranium enrichment.”
Trump again criticized his predecessor Joe Biden, asserting that Biden’s “automatic signature should have stopped Iran’s enrichment long ago.”
Amid contradictory U.S. official stances on iran’s nuclear program, Trump claimed no level of enrichment would be acceptable in Iran if his management’s proposed deal were finalized.
The remarks follow an Axios report citing sources that the U.S. had “finaly conceded” to Iran’s right to domestic uranium enrichment under specific terms.
The outlet reported Washington proposed allowing Tehran to maintain low-level uranium enrichment domestically, provided Iran temporarily caps enrichment at 3%. The duration of this restriction would be determined during negotiations.
Axios added that sanctions relief would require verifiable Iranian compliance and approval by both the U.S. and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
