Zelensky: Russia Fired Over 400 Drones and 40 Missiles at Ukraine
According to webangah news Agency, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to Russia’s large-scale drone and missile strikes, stating that Moscow had launched over 400 drones and 40 missiles at Ukraine.
The president urged Kyiv’s allies to deliver a “powerful response” to the Russian attacks. Earlier, Russian media reported an intense missile and drone offensive against Ukraine, targeting military headquarters and infrastructure in Kyiv and nine other regions.
The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed the country was under severe missile attack,with the capital Kyiv along with eastern and western provinces bearing the brunt of strikes. Military sources stated Russian attacks damaged critical infrastructure and buildings in Kyiv, including metro stations.
Ukrainian officials reported 16 injuries in the capital, while Kyiv’s mayor confirmed 4 fatalities. Eyewitnesses described multiple explosions and at least one major fire at impact sites.In one incident, drones struck upper floors of a high-rise apartment building in kyiv’s eastern Darnytskyi district, igniting a blaze.
A Ukrainian Telegram channel reported: “A shopping center burns in this area while residential complexes in western Kyiv are also on fire.” Drone debris was observed in at least three different city districts.
