Ryabkov: Moscow “Strongly” Denies Attacking Iran’s Nuclear Facilities
According to webangah News Agency, Russian Deputy Foreign minister Sergei Ryabkov emphasized that Moscow categorically rejects any military strike targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
In an interview published today by TASS, Ryabkov stated: “We vehemently oppose any military option against Iran’s nuclear facilities.” He warned that such actions would trigger irreversible consequences, including humanitarian and radiological disasters.
The Russian diplomat stressed: “We must do everything possible to prevent escalating tensions,which won’t contribute to resolving the situation.”
He noted increased U.S. efforts to reach a mutually acceptable agreement with Tehran-one that could avert crisis.”Negotiations continue despite significant challenges,” Ryabkov added, citing positive signals from both capitals suggesting a favorable outcome remains achievable.
Ryabkov reaffirmed Moscow’s active role in facilitating a diplomatic solution between Tehran and Washington regarding Iran’s nuclear program: “We remain committed to supporting dynamic negotiations aimed at achieving necessary solutions.”
