California Governor: “Trump Is Creating Crisis in Los Angeles
According to webangah News Agency,Governor Newsom responded on Sunday to what he called Trump’s “provocative and interventionist actions” regarding the deployment. in a post on X (formerly Twitter), Newsom stated: “Donald Trump is sending 2,000 National Guard troops to Los Angeles not to meet any unmet need, but to manufacture crisis.”
The California governor added: “He wants chaos so he can justify more repression, more fear, and more control. Stay calm. Never resort to violence.”
The development follows ABC News reports confirming the arrival of the first National Guard units in los Angeles amid protests against federal immigration policies.
Several California National Guard vehicles were seen stationed near the Hall of Justice building adjacent to City Hall earlier today.
The White House announced hours prior that President Trump had signed an order authorizing 2,000 Presidential Guard personnel deployment – described by officials as necessary to address what they termed “lawlessness” in California.
Trump had previously warned: “If California’s governor and LA mayor can’t stop the riots and looting, the federal government will step in.”
