Vitekoff Explains Possibility of Easing Iran Sanctions
Trump’s Middle East envoy clarifies US president’s recent remarks on China buying oil from Iran.
According to webangah News Agency, US President Donald Trump stated on Wednesday that America would not abandon its maximum pressure policy against Iran, while hinting at potential sanctions relief.
Trump claimed China could continue purchasing Iranian oil following a ceasefire agreement.
In response,Steve Witkopf,Trump’s Middle East envoy,explained: “These remarks carry a message for the chinese – we want to cooperate with you and don’t wish to harm your economy.”
He added: “We hope this message reaches the Iranians as well.”
